Alhaji Masari's Initiative Restores Sight to 350 Residents

A total of 350 residents from Kafur and Malumfashi Local Government Areas in Katsina State regained their sight following free eye surgeries facilitated by Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari, Wazirin Tinubu and Special Adviser to the President on Political and Other Matters. The surgeries were part of a humanitarian medical intervention that began with free eye screenings on August 29 and 30, 2026, which initially served 2,200 individuals.
Among the 350 patients who underwent surgery, 108 were completely blind, 96 were blind in one eye, and 146 had partial visual impairment. The selected patients were transported to Kano for surgery and remained there for post-operative care.
The surgeries were successful, significantly improving the quality of life for the beneficiaries, many of whom had suffered from severe visual impairment for extended periods. The initiative also included the distribution of welfare items, with appreciation expressed to Alhaji Masari and committee members for their contributions to the program.
