ICPC Convicts National Assembly Staff in N4.8m Job Scam

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has successfully convicted two National Assembly staff members, Mustapha Moham and Tijjani Adam Goni, for defrauding job seekers of N4.8 million. The scam involved promising job placements at institutions like the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Federal Inland Revenue Service.

The perpetrators, including accomplice Badraddin Moham, were found guilty of forgery, obtaining money under false pretenses, and other offenses. The court sentenced the offenders to pay fines and refund the defrauded amount.

This case highlights the prevalence of corruption in Nigeria's public sector.
