Tinubu Resolves MMA2 Concession Dispute, Boosts Investment

Jobson Ewalefoh, the boss of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC), commended President Bola Tinubu for successfully resolving a protracted concession dispute surrounding Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2) in Lagos. This resolution, announced in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, is seen as a significant move to boost investor confidence in Nigeria's infrastructure sector.

Ewalefoh noted that the President's actions demonstrate a commitment to upholding contract sanctity and reassuring investors about Nigeria's regulatory environment. The MMA2 concession dispute involved the Federal Government, the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, and various stakeholders, including Courtnei Aviation Services.

The resolution was achieved through coordinated efforts involving the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development and the concessionaire. Ewalefoh described the resolution as a "masterstroke" that ends a dispute spanning multiple administrations and strengthens public-private partnership arrangements, encouraging further infrastructure investments.

He also acknowledged the crucial role played by Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, in this process.
