FG Opens Applications for 2026 Overseas Scholarships for Nigerian Postgraduates

The Nigerian government has announced the commencement of applications for the 2026 Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) overseas scholarship scheme. This initiative provides Nigerian postgraduate students with the opportunity to study in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Malaysia.

The scholarships cover tuition, return flight tickets, accommodation, health insurance, and bench fees. PhD applicants for the UK scholarships will have split-site arrangements with the College of Petroleum Energy Studies Kaduna (CPESK) and UK partner universities.

Applicants must meet specific academic criteria and submit research proposals for evaluation. The scholarships aim to enhance Nigeria's indigenous capacity in the oil and gas sector.
