iDICE Launches Free Skills Training for 50,000 Youths

The federal government’s iDICE Skills-to-Jobs Programme has commenced applications to provide free digital, employability, and specialized skills training for 50,000 youths aged 15 to 35 in North-Central Nigeria, specifically in Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, and the Federal Capital Territory. The initiative aims to equip participants with practical skills relevant to the digital and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sectors.
Tech4Dev will implement the program in collaboration with TeleSoftas and Taltrix, utilizing a mix of virtual, self-paced, and in-person learning, alongside employability support and job placement services. This program is part of the broader iDICE initiative, which targets 300,000 young Nigerians across all six geopolitical zones.
The program is co-financed by the African Development Bank, Agence Française de Développement, and the Islamic Development Bank, with the Bank of Industry acting as the executing agency. Training will cover various areas, including digital literacy, coding, and cybersecurity, with a focus on inclusivity for women, persons with disabilities, and underserved communities.
