Nigerian Youths Trained in AI Skills by TechRise DTI

TechRise DTI, a non-governmental organization, conducted a training session for Nigerian youths on Artificial Intelligence and digital skills during a webinar on Tuesday, themed ‘The AI Advantage: Who Will Benefit More from AI Usage?’. Emmanuel Brendan, a Director at TechRise, stated that the training aims to transition participants from basic AI awareness to practical applications, providing technical support and opportunities for developing AI-powered solutions.

He highlighted the high unemployment rate among African youths, noting their lack of practical skills for today’s digital workplaces. Richard Pepple, CEO of Technoville Nigeria, delivered the keynote lecture, emphasizing that AI's deployment speed differentiates it from previous technological revolutions and that the real beneficiaries will be those who integrate human skills with AI.

Nseabasi Udondian, Executive Director of TechRise DTI, mentioned that over 1,000 youths have been trained in various digital skills, urging participants to utilize their knowledge to create jobs and businesses.
