IGP Olatunji Disu Reshuffles Nigeria Police Leadership

Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu has approved a significant reshuffle within the Nigeria Police Force aimed at strengthening operational efficiency and improving service delivery across the nation. This decision was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Anthony Placid.

The reshuffle involves the reassignment of several Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs) to strategic departments and zonal commands. Notable appointments include AIG Ado Emmanuel to the Department of Research and Planning at Force Headquarters in Abuja, AIG Joseph Eribo to the Department of Armament, and AIG Miller Dantaway to the Department of Operations.

Additionally, AIG Dahiru Mohammed has been posted to Zone 15 in Maiduguri, while AIG Bello Shehu will oversee Zone 14 in Katsina. The reshuffle also includes the redeployment of various Commissioners of Police to state commands and specialized units, reflecting an ongoing effort to enhance internal operations and improve police outcomes nationwide.
