IGP Tunji Disu Reshuffles Nigerian Police Leadership

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Tunji Disu has executed a reshuffle within the Nigerian Police Force, assigning new roles to several newly-promoted Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs). This restructuring is part of a strategy to strengthen intelligence-led policing across the country.

Disu emphasized the need for senior officers to deepen inter-agency collaboration and improve operational coordination. The reshuffle includes DIG Fayoad Adegok, who was assigned to the Department of Information and Communication Technology, and DIG Zachariah Fera, who has moved from the Legal Services Department.

Other notable assignments include DIG Zango Ibrahim Baba to the Research and Planning Department, DIG Isyaku Moham to the Training and Development Department, and DIG Margaret Ochalla to the Force Criminal Investigation Department. The changes are aimed at enhancing operational efficiency across various specialized units of the Nigerian Police Force, including border patrol and anti-bomb units, with immediate circulation of the new postings across multiple commands.
