Iheanacho's Brace Leads Celtic to Scottish Cup Final

Kelechi Iheanacho, the Nigerian intern forward, scored a brace during extra time as Celtic defeated St Mirren 6-2 to qualify for the Scottish Cup final. Iheanacho, who came off the bench with seven minutes remaining in regular time, witnessed St Mirren equalize after being two goals down, tying the game at 2-2.

In the first half of extra time, he scored with a header from a near-post cross and added another goal in the 100th minute with a curling strike just inside the box. Celtic's victory secured their place in the Scottish Cup final, scheduled for May 23, marking their fourth consecutive appearance in the final over the past four seasons.

Iheanacho's two goals increased his season total to six since joining Celtic from Sevilla last September. He expressed gratitude to the fans for their support and urged them to continue backing the team as they aim for their 43rd Scottish Cup trophy against Dunfermline Athletic next month.
