Iheanacho Aims to Extend Celtic Stay After Successful Season

Kelechi Iheanacho, a forward for Celtic, hopes to continue with the club next season after a successful 10-month spell that included winning the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Cup. In the recent Scottish Cup final, Celtic defeated Dunfermline 3-1, marking the club's 43rd Scottish Cup triumph and their 14th league and cup double.

Iheanacho notably scored six goals in the last ten games of the season, finishing with a total of nine goals and one assist in 23 appearances. He joined Celtic as a free agent from Sevilla in September 2025, and the club holds an option to extend his contract for an additional year beyond the current season.
