Iheanacho Scores as Celtic Wins Scottish Cup Final

Kelechi Iheanacho scored for Celtic as they completed a domestic double with a victory in the Scottish Cup. This win followed Celtic's 3-1 defeat of Hearts and marked their 63rd Scottish Cup triumph.

Iheanacho, a former Leicester City forward, came on as a super sub and scored just after the hour mark, slotting home to clinch the trophy. At 29 years old, he became the first African-born player to score in a Scottish Cup final.

Celtic's success in the cup was part of a broader resurgence under the management of Martin O'Neill, who, at 74 years old, has helped restore the club's fortunes after a poor start to the season. This victory also represents Celtic's fourth Scottish Cup success under O'Neill, who previously won three during his first spell as manager.

Celtic has now won seven of the last ten Scottish Cups, claiming 23 of the last 30 available trophies in Scotland.
