Iheanacho Shines as Celtic Secures Scottish Title

Kelechi Iheanacho played a significant role in Celtic FC's triumph in the Scottish Premiership, clinching the title on Saturday with a 3-1 comeback victory against Heart of Midlothian at Celtic Park. The win marked Celtic's 14th title in 15 years and their first league crown since 1960.

Celtic fell behind when Lawrence Shankland scored from a corner in the 43rd minute, but Iheanacho equalized with a penalty just before halftime. The match remained tense until Daizen Maeda scored in the 87th minute, initially ruled offside but confirmed as a goal after a VAR review.

Callum Osmand then sealed the victory with a late goal. Iheanacho, who was introduced from the bench, made a notable impact despite having spent time sidelined due to a hamstring injury, finishing the season with eight goals in 22 appearances.

His contract includes an option for an additional year, and discussions about his future are expected to take place following the title win.
