Ijaw Youth Council Endorses Fubara for Second Term, Warns Against Political Interference

The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) has endorsed River State Governor Siminalayi Fubara for a second term ahead of the 2027 general elections. The council, led by Theophilus Alay, commended Fubara's development initiatives and warned against political interference by Minister Nyesom Wike.

They highlighted Fubara's focus on infrastructure, urban development, youth empowerment, education, healthcare, peacebuilding, and governance reforms. The IYC also emphasized the need for respect towards the Ijaw nation and warned the federal government, particularly the APC, to support the region.

Comparisons were drawn with other leaders like Godswill Akpabio, Ifeanyi Okowa, and Seriake Dickson, indicating Fubara's deserving space and respect in governance.
