Nigerian Skit Maker Ijoba Lande Accuses Lagos Police of Assault and Theft

Nigerian skit maker and actor Ganiyu Morufu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande, has accused the Nigerian Police, specifically officers from the Area J Division of the Lagos State Command, of brutal assault and theft. In a Facebook post, he alleged that the police assaulted him, causing visible injuries and bleeding around his eye.

The incident, which occurred just six days after his return to Nigeria from the United Kingdom, involved the police allegedly seizing his iPhone 16 Pro Max and stealing $1,200 cash belonging to his brother. The video shared online showed Ijoba Lande inside a police station, seemingly trying to lodge a complaint following the assault.
