Ikoyi Club 1938 Kicks Off 88th Anniversary Celebrations

Ikoyi Club 1938 officially launched its week-long 88th anniversary celebrations on Monday with a Media Connect event held at the Rotunda of the club in Lagos. The event unveiled the official logo for the milestone, themed “Legacy in Motion.” Attendees included celebrities and media figures such as Richard Mofe-Damijo, Shaffy Bello, Ireti Doyle, and others.

Key officials present were Chairman Akinwunmi Akintola, Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Anniversary Committee Bolaji Martins, Golf Captain Afolabi Balogun, and General Manager/CEO Dr Babajide Orungbeja. Akintola, a member for over sixty years, emphasized the importance of the club's legacy, stating it is not just about the past but also about the future.

He described the logo as a representation of their heritage and ongoing journey. The celebration will include various events, such as a Ladies’ Night, recognizing the contributions of club staff, and preserving traditions while embracing new ideas.

Akintola thanked all involved in making the anniversary possible.
