Nollywood Actor Emmanuel Ikubese's Movie 'Mzigo' Addresses Stigma of Sickle Cell Warriors

Emmanuel Ikubese, a Nollywood actor, has produced and directed the movie "Mzigo," which focuses on the challenges and stigma experienced by individuals battling sickle cell disease in Nigeria. The film tells the story of a man who falls in love with a woman fighting sickle cell disease against all odds.

The movie aims to raise awareness and dismantle public stigma surrounding sickle cell disease through mainstream media and international film festivals. The premiere screenings have taken place in Lagos and are planned for Abuja and Zanzibar, Tanzania.
