Ilebaye's Father Addresses Domestic Violence Allegations

Odinia Emmanuel Godson, the father of former Big Brother Naija winner Ilebaye, publicly addressed allegations of domestic violence and physical assault against his daughter. In a video shared on social media, he expressed gratitude to fellow Nigerians for their support and clarified that his actions stemmed from love for Ilebaye.

He noted that she attended the best schools and had worked hard to achieve her dreams, including her participation in Big Brother Naija, where she faced challenges such as eviction. Godson emphasized that he contributed significantly to her success, stating that he was responsible for 75 percent of her votes during the show.

He mentioned that he could not wait until Ilebaye's behavior deteriorated before intervening, indicating that he had tried to guide her. The situation gained attention after Ilebaye appeared on an Instagram livestream with a swollen face, crying for help, which led to public concern regarding her safety.
