Okocha Denies Biting Portable in Boxing Rematch Controversy

Charles Okocha denied claims made by singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, that he bit him during their boxing rematch titled “Unfinished Business” at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. Okocha refuted Portable's allegations during an appearance at AY and Akpororo’s comedy night, asserting he would rather "chew grass" than bite his opponent, emphasizing that he wore a mouth guard throughout the fight, making it impossible to bite.

The match devolved into a wrestling-like scuffle, requiring security intervention, and ended with Portable walking out of the ring before the contest was officially ruled, resulting in his disqualification and Okocha's victory. Following the incident, Portable released a diss track criticizing the officiating and threatening to settle scores through local wrestling.

This bout was Portable's second loss in the ring, having previously lost to Carter Efe by unanimous decision on May 1 at the same venue, where he claimed to have been paid ₦50 million for lasting one round.
