Portable Apologizes After Boxing Rematch Walkout

On Friday night, Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, walked out of his celebrity boxing rematch against Nollywood actor Charles Okocha after the opening round, resulting in Okocha winning by default. The event, organized by Balmoral Group at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, ended in controversy, disappointing spectators.

Portable issued an apology through his management, Zeh Nation/Dr Zeh, acknowledging the disappointment caused by his withdrawal and appealing for understanding from fans. The management took full responsibility for the incident and expressed gratitude for the support received despite the unexpected conclusion.

They also commended Balmoral Group for successfully organizing the event and assured supporters that feedback would be taken seriously for future appearances. The rematch was highly anticipated after Okocha activated a rematch clause following his defeat to Portable in December 2023.
