Governor Umahi Vows to Resign if Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Road Project Fails Quality Test

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has pledged to resign if the ongoing Abuja-Kaduna-Kano road project fails an independent quality assessment. During a budget defense session at the National Assembly, lawmakers expressed worries about the project's quality and the contractor's credibility.

The contractor, a relatively unknown company, faced scrutiny for its lack of recognition in road construction. Umahi dismissed concerns about the contractor's background, emphasizing that quality work is his priority.

He asserted that he would only resign if the project's concrete fails the quality test. The National Assembly members, including Senator Adam Oshiomhole, questioned the award of the project to a less-known construction firm.
