Peter Obi Will Collaborate with Malami, El-Rufai Amid Allegations

In a recent interview with Magic FM in Aba, Peter Obi, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated his intention to work with Abubakar Malami, the former Attorney General of the Federation, and Nasir El-Rufai, the former Governor of Kaduna State, despite their ongoing corruption allegations. Obi highlighted that engaging with individuals facing scrutiny is essential for reform, drawing a biblical comparison to Jesus befriending tax collectors and prostitutes.

He acknowledged the past roles of Malami and El-Rufai in government, noting that they are currently facing legal actions related to corruption, including a recent arraignment by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) and charges filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Obi reaffirmed his commitment to the ADC as he prepares for the upcoming presidential election, expressing confidence in his qualifications as a candidate.
