‘I’m A Married Man’ – Govt Aide Reveals Why He Offered Comfort ₦500,000 Job As Lawyer Files ₦500 Billion Suit

A government aide, following an incident on a flight from Lagos to Uyo, offered a ₦500,000 job to a passenger who had been involved in a dispute with the crew. The passenger, Emmason, was restrained and escorted off the aircraft, leading to a lifetime ban from Ibom Air.

The aide, Ossai, clarified that the job offer was a personal decision to help Emmason reintegrate into society and not driven by any romantic interest. In response to this incident, lawyer Ayodele Ademiluyi has filed a ₦500 billion lawsuit against the Federal Government, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, and other aviation stakeholders for violating rules and mishandling the situation.

Ademiluyi aims to hold these parties accountable and address deeper institutional weaknesses in the aviation sector. He criticized the government's handling of the incident and accused the Minister of Aviation of taking sides.
