Kaduna Governor Uba Sani Initiates Major Transport Overhaul with Bus Rapid Transit Project

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State is spearheading a significant transformation of the transportation sector with a focus on the Kaduna Bus Rapid Transit (KBRT) project, a collaboration with the Agence Française de Développement (AFD). The KBRT project, the first of its kind in Northern Nigeria, will feature a dedicated 24km corridor with environmentally friendly CNG buses.

Additionally, plans for a Kaduna light rail project are in advanced stages, aiming to modernize the state's transport network. The governor also highlighted the launch of a subsidized transport scheme and the commissioning of new CNG hybrid buses by President Bola Tinubu.
