Edo Senator Neda Imasuen Declares Re-election Bid

Barr. Neda Imasuen, the senator representing Edo South, has officially declared his intent to seek re-election under the banner of the Progressive Congress (APC).

During a stakeholders' meeting in Edo South, he stressed the importance of maintaining the district's influence in the Senate, warning that losing this status would weaken the district's voice. Imasuen attributed his 2023 electoral victory to divine grace and noted the challenges ahead.

He presented a scorecard of his achievements over 30 months in office, which includes advancements in education, healthcare, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and employment interventions, such as scholarships and vocational training programs. He also highlighted community-based healthcare services and infrastructure projects like road construction and solar-powered streetlights.

As the chairman of the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges, Imasuen assured party leaders of his commitment to dialogue and collaboration, urging unity among political actors in Edo South and cautioning against divisive tendencies.
