Omoregie Declares Candidacy for Edo South Senate Seat

Omoregie, a former two-term member of the House of Representatives, has announced his intention to contest for the Edo South senatorial seat. Speaking at the APC party secretariat in Benin City, he warned against using the senatorial ticket as a means of compensating individuals without regard for their qualifications.

Omoregie highlighted his legislative experience and business acumen, asserting that he is the most qualified candidate for the position. He noted that he has previously won elections on the platform of an opposing party in Edo State and emphasized the importance of experience in attracting development projects and budget allocations for the constituency.

Omoregie's declaration comes as he seeks support from party leaders and aims to position himself as a capable representative for the people of Edo South in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
