Imo State Triumphs in Chief of Defence Staff U-15 Football Tournament

Imo State's U-15 football team clinched victory in the inaugural Chief of Defence Staff tournament in Port Harcourt, River State, defeating Edo State 2-1 in the final match. The competition, aimed at discovering young football talent and encouraging youth development, featured teams sponsored by military formations from various states in the South-South region.

The tournament, organized by General Olufemi Oluyede, emphasized promoting mutual cooperation among the participating states. River State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, highlighted the event's significance in nurturing young football talent and fostering discipline among Nigerian youth.
