Enugu Air Launches First International Flight to Cameroon

On September 22, 2026, Dr. Peter Mbah, the Governor of Enugu State, inaugurated Enugu Air's inaugural international flight service to Cameroon, a significant milestone in his administration's vision to develop Enugu as a major aviation hub. During the ceremony at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Mbah praised the airline's leadership for its rapid growth and emphasized that Enugu Air is part of a broader strategy to transform the state into a $30 billion economy.

He noted that the airline obtained its Air Operator’s License in just six months and described the Enugu–Douala service as the beginning of future international operations. Mbah expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his support in aviation infrastructure and acknowledged the contributions of Festus Keyama, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, along with relevant agencies.

Capt. Tolu Ita, CEO of Enugu Air, stated that the airline represents a new chapter for Enugu, positioning it as a gateway for business and opportunities.
