Inaugural Sports Camp Climaxes with Excitement

The inaugural sports camp organized by the WAMUFAT Foundation in partnership with the Nigeria School Sports Federation (NSSF) concluded with excitement as 600 students from six southwestern states in Nigeria, along with 150 game masters, participated in the event held at the Agroterra Sports Complex near Abeokuta, Ogun State. The camp, which took place from August 11 to 16, provided participants with exposure to modern sports training and mentorship from iconic Nigerian athletes such as Mary Falilat Ogunkoya, Mutiu Adepoju, and Felix Owolabi.

The closing ceremony, attended by NSSF President Olabisi Joseph, was described as a transformative experience for the students, fostering unity and learning. The event received praise from former athletes and sponsors, with plans for an even bigger and better next edition.

The camp aimed to inspire future champions and promote positive development through sports, with participants expressing enthusiasm and a desire to aim high in their chosen sports.
