Experts Advocate Infrastructure for E-commerce Growth

During a panel session at the Future Commerce Summit organized by Glovo, industry experts called for improved infrastructure and systems to support the growth of Nigeria's e-commerce sector. Osarumen Osaruyi moderated the session, featuring speakers like Olakunle Ogungbamila, co-founder of Orda Africa, who stressed the significance of building software products that can adapt to market needs.

He noted that the success of software relies on its ability to enhance user experience. Opeyemi Oyinloy, Chief Operating Officer of Paga Group, highlighted the importance of creating seamless purchasing systems for customers.

Rotimi Thomas, Chief Executive Officer of Sunfi, pointed out that transitioning to renewable energy sources is crucial for keeping businesses operational amid rising fossil fuel costs. Sabestin Osika, CEO of Gig Logistics, emphasized that integrating technology into shipping processes can address major challenges faced by businesses in the e-commerce ecosystem.
