Peter Obi Accuses INEC Chairman of Acting on Tinubu's Script

Peter Obi, a frontline presidential aspirant and former governor of Anambra State, accused the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Joash Amupitan, of acting on a script written by President Bola Tinubu. In an interview with Central TV, excerpts of which were released ahead of the full broadcast, Obi stated that Amupitan should remember that his tenure in office is not permanent.

He criticized the current electoral process, suggesting that it is flawed and that the INEC Chairman's actions are influenced by political interests. When asked if he believed INEC was acting as an agent for President Tinubu, Obi affirmed his concerns regarding the integrity of the commission's operations, indicating a lack of trust in the electoral body under its current leadership.
