Omokri Blames ADC for INEC Deregistration Crisis

Reno Omokri, a Nigerian ambassador to Mexico, criticized the African Democratic Congress (ADC) regarding its recent deregistration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He stated that the ADC, led by David Mark's faction, should take responsibility for its predicament instead of blaming INEC.

Omokri remarked that the party's current crisis was self-inflicted and that the ADC's leadership chose to appeal the INEC decision, which he described as a desperate action that could undermine electoral authority. He noted that the ADC's issues stemmed from its alignment with business interests rather than genuine democratic principles.

Omokri urged the party to acknowledge its faults and work towards solutions rather than attempting to incite public anger against INEC. He highlighted the urgency of the situation, given that there are only ten months left before the next elections, suggesting that starting a new party from scratch would be insufficient time.
