INEC Trains Supervisors for 2027 Election Operations

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has initiated training for state coordinating supervisors of its Electoral Operations Support Centre (EOSC) in preparation for the 2027 general election. The training, organized by INEC’s Electoral Operations Department, aims to equip supervisors with essential knowledge and practical skills for coordinating EOSC activities and training personnel to support electoral operations.
Jibril B. Mohammed, Deputy Director of Operations, emphasized the importance of timely reporting, information verification, and effective incident escalation.
He noted that every report through the EOSC reflects real situations affecting electoral personnel and processes. Mohammed urged supervisors to provide clear direction and exercise sound judgment while supervising their teams, stressing the need for accuracy and timeliness in operational reporting.
Participants are expected to engage actively in training sessions and transfer their knowledge to state-level personnel. The success of the training will be evaluated based on the performance of those trained during the elections.
