Infantry Corps Commander Unveils New Brigade Facilities

On July 30, 2023, Major General Godwin Mutkut, the Commander Infantry Corps, conducted an operational visit to Headquarters 25 Brigade, where he reviewed military operations, commissioned new facilities, and assessed the Brigade’s operational readiness. The visit included a detailed operational briefing on the security situation and ongoing missions.

Major General Mutkut commissioned newly completed infrastructure projects, including the Brigade Commander’s Residence, Headquarters Office Complex Annex, and Brigade Guard Room, executed by Brigadier General Igwe Omoke. He conveyed commendations from the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, for the troops' resilience in counter-terrorism operations.

Major General Mutkut emphasized the importance of ongoing welfare initiatives for personnel well-being and operational performance. He reminded soldiers to uphold the ethics of the Nigerian Army and maintain strong family relationships to enhance operational morale.

This visit reflects the Nigerian Army's strategy of combining infrastructure development, leadership engagement, and welfare investment to strengthen frontline formations against terrorism in the North-East.
