Iwobi Out of Aston Villa Match Due to Injury

Alex Iwobi, a midfielder for Fulham FC, will be unavailable for the upcoming Premier League clash against Aston Villa due to an injury sustained during Fulham's London derby against Brentford last weekend. Manager Marco Silva confirmed that Iwobi limped off the pitch shortly before halftime while chasing the ball and went straight down the tunnel for treatment.

He was replaced by teammate Samuel Chukwueze. This injury marks the first time Iwobi will not feature in Fulham's starting lineup for a Premier League match since the start of the season.

Iwobi has made 27 appearances in the English top flight, recording four goals and three assists, totaling 2,279 minutes played. Nigeria's national team manager, Eric Chell, will closely monitor Iwobi's situation as the player prepares for a high-profile friendly against Poland and Portugal.
