Gov. Zulum Calls for Holistic Approach to Address Insecurity in Northeast Beyond Military Action

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State emphasized at the 12th Northeast Governors Forum meeting in Taraba the need for a holistic approach to address insecurity in the Northeast beyond just military action. He highlighted the importance of education, healthcare, better security infrastructure, and economic development in restoring peace.

Zulum stressed the necessity of tackling root causes such as poverty, unemployment, and poor road networks to curb unrest in the region. The governors also called for revitalizing agriculture, enhancing vocational education, and attracting investments to promote development.

Zulum urged practical steps to revitalize the region and attract local and foreign investments for sustainable progress.
