South-West Governors Convene Emergency Meeting to Address Security Concerns

South-West governors from states like Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti convened an emergency meeting in Ibadan to discuss pressing security concerns in the region. The closed-door meeting aimed to address rising security threats, examine recent developments, and enhance the capacity of the Amotekun Corp, a regional security outfit.

The governors also planned to review operational strategies, accelerate infrastructure development, and deepen regional integration. This meeting comes amidst increasing incidents of kidnapping and killings across Nigeria.
