International Breweries Plc ₦84bn Return of Capital Details

International Breweries Plc has notified shareholders and the Nigerian Exchange Limited of the key dates for its approved Return of Capital exercise. The filing discloses the Qualification Date, Register Closure Date, and Settlement Date for the distribution of ₦84,000,000,000 from the company's share premium account.
International Breweries Plc (INTBREW) has announced the operational dates for its Return of Capital exercise, following regulatory and judicial approvals secured earlier in 2026. The company disclosed that the Qualification Date is September 16, 2026, meaning only shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at the close of business on that date will be entitled to receive the distribution.
The Register of Members will subsequently be closed on September 17, 2026, to finalise the list of qualifying shareholders. Settlement — the actual payment of funds to qualifying shareholders — is scheduled for September 23, 2026.
Each qualifying shareholder will receive ₦0.50 (Fifty Kobo) per share held. The total sum being distributed is ₦84,000,000,000, sourced from the company's share premium account on a pro rata cash basis.
The exercise received approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission, was sanctioned by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held on July 30, 2026, and subsequently received the sanction of the Federal High Court. INTBREW stated it will continue to update shareholders, the Exchange, and the investing public on any material developments related to the Return of Capital.
