Inter Milan sells Akinsanmiro to Monza for €7.5m

Inter Milan has agreed to a permanent transfer deal for midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro to Serie A side Monza for a fee of €7.5 million, which includes a 10% sell-on clause. This agreement was reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Akinsanmiro's future had been uncertain after returning to Inter at the end of the previous season, following a loan at Pisa where he could not help the club avoid relegation. Despite Pisa having an €8 million buy option, they opted not to sign him permanently.

There had been speculation about a potential move to the German Bundesliga, but the transfer to Monza has now been finalized. Akinsanmiro was signed by Inter from Nigerian club Remo Stars in 2024, marking a significant transition from the Nigeria Professional Football League to a major European club.

The move to Monza is anticipated to provide him with the stability needed to advance his career, although Monza faces its own challenges in the top flight.
