Durosinmi Set to Become Genk's Record Signing at €10.5m

Rafiu Durosinmi is poised to become KRC Genk's most expensive signing, with the Belgian club agreeing to a €10.5 million (approximately N16.6 billion) transfer deal with Pisa. This agreement, reported by PUNCH Sports Extra and confirmed by Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, includes performance-related bonuses and a 10% sell-on clause for Pisa.

The transfer will surpass Genk's previous record of €7 million paid to Celta Vigo for Theo Bongonda in 2019. Durosinmi, 23, joined Pisa from Czech side Viktoria Plzen in January for a fee believed to be around €9 million.

However, he had a challenging stint in Italy, scoring only once in 12 competitive appearances. Pisa's relegation from Serie A has prompted the club to sell Durosinmi, allowing them to recover most of their investment while retaining a stake in any future transfer.
