International Breweries Achieves N88.9bn Pre-Tax Profit

International Breweries announced a record pre-tax profit of N88.9 billion for the financial year 2025, indicating a definitive turnaround from a loss of N111.8 billion reported the prior year. The financial statement, released to the Nigerian Exchange, highlighted a revenue surge to N619.04 billion, representing a 26.6% year-on-year increase. This growth was primarily driven by a 100% sales contribution from its brewed products, despite a rise in cost of sales to N409.4 billion due to increased overhead and material costs. The company's gross profit rose nearly 60% to N209.6 billion, while operational profit swung back to N82.8 billion from a previous loss. Shareholders experienced a recovery in earnings per share, moving to N0.30 from a loss of N1.16 per share the previous year. Although the company posted a post-tax profit of N50.9 billion, it retained a loss on its balance sheet of N191.03 billion, leading to no dividend declaration for the financial year.
