Super Eagles Name David Ozoh as Iwobi's Replacement

The Super Eagles have appointed David Ozoh as the direct replacement for Alex Iwobi, who recently sustained a hamstring injury while playing for Fulham in the Premier League. Ozoh, a 20-year-old midfielder, has been impressive during his second loan spell at Crystal Palace, scoring two goals in 32 appearances.

He is capable of playing in both central and defensive midfield roles. The England FA has authorized Ozoh to participate in the upcoming friendly matches against Poland and Portugal without needing FIFA clearance, as he is eligible to play for Nigeria's U18 team.

The matches are scheduled for June 2023, and Ozoh's inclusion comes as the Super Eagles prepare for these international fixtures.
