Global Tourism Sees 4% Growth in 2025, Strong Demand Continues in 2026

The UN World Tourism Barometer reported a 4% growth in international tourist arrivals in 2025, reaching 1.52 billion visitors globally. Strong demand and robust performance from key source markets, especially in Asia Pacific, contributed to this growth.

Africa saw an 8% increase in arrivals, with North Africa and the Middle East recording significant growth. The tourism sector is expected to continue growing by 3-4% in 2026, assuming favorable global economic conditions.

However, geopolitical tensions and conflicts pose risks to this positive trend.
