Uba Sani Supports Youth Innovators with N3 Million Grants

At the International Youth Day Conference on Friday, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State asserted that youth empowerment is a core philosophy of his administration. He stated that the Kaduna State Government acknowledges the importance of engaging the youth for societal prosperity.

During the event, he awarded N3 million each to several outstanding youths, including a group of Computer Engineering students from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, for their Innovative Walking Aid for the visually impaired, and Fauziyya Muhammad Auwal from Kaduna State University, Nigeria's first female astronaut candidate. Other beneficiaries included eight Microchip Designers and winners of the National Board for Technology Incubation NEXTGEN challenge.

Governor Sani committed to expanding skills acquisition, vocational training, and digital literacy, emphasizing the need for young people to not only consume but also create in the digital economy. He called for collaboration among government, private enterprises, and civil society to create pathways for youth participation in governance and leadership.
