Uba Sani Supports 4,050 Graduates with ₦810 Million Fund
On Thursday, Governor Uba Sani announced a financial support initiative for 4,050 graduates of the Kaduna State Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development during their maiden graduation ceremony at the Balarabe Musa campus in Rigachukun. Each graduate will receive ₦200,000, totaling ₦810 million, to assist in purchasing essential tools and provide seed money for initial working capital, professional registration, or transport fare for job searching.
The funds will be managed by the Kaduna State Enterprise Development Agency. Governor Sani emphasized the government's commitment to engaging companies to create employment opportunities, apprenticeships, and internships.
He also mentioned the development of a digital platform to connect graduates with employers. The graduates, having qualified for the National Skills Qualification Level II, were trained in fourteen trade areas, including electrical installation, welding, catering, and automotive mechatronics.
