ADC Chair Warns of Worsening Rivers Crisis, Calls for Accountability Amid Political Tensions

The Chairman of the Rivers State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mr. Leader Sampson, in an interview, dismissed the truce between Governor Nyesom Wike and Siminalayi Fubara, stating that the political crisis in Rivers may worsen.

Sampson criticized the recent local government elections in Rivers as illegal and highlighted ADC's readiness for the 2027 general elections. He called for accountability from the Sole Administrator of the state, Vice Admiral Ekwe Ibas, regarding the use of state funds during the emergency rule.
