Super Eagles Begin Camp in Turkey for Friendlies

The Super Eagles of Nigeria commenced their training camp in Antalya, Turkey, in preparation for two international friendlies against Iran and Jordan. The camp officially opened on Tuesday, with 15 players reporting for duty, including goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and forward Samuel Chukwueze.

The coaching staff, led by head coach Eric Chell, arrived earlier to finalize arrangements. The team is set to conduct its first training session at 4 PM local time.

The friendlies are scheduled for Friday at 4 PM Nigerian time against Iran and next Tuesday, March 31, at 8 PM against Jordan. The decision to move the fixtures to Turkey was made due to security concerns stemming from ongoing military tensions in the Middle East, which rendered the original venue in Amman unsuitable.

Notably, the squad named by Coach Chell excludes regulars such as Victor Osimhen, Ola Aina, and Stanley Nwabali.
