Kaduna State Prioritizes Women's Empowerment on IWD

During the International Women’s Day celebration, Dr. Rabi Salihu, the Kaduna State Commissioner for Women Affairs, highlighted the state's commitment to the empowerment and protection of women and girls.

She noted that the administration of Governor Uba Sani firmly believes that when women are empowered, families thrive, communities prosper, and the entire state experiences sustainable development. The event, held at Queen Amina College, was part of a collaborative effort with Tetra Tech and focused on strengthening peace and reconciliation.

Dr. Salihu called for partnerships with the private sector and individuals to invest in women and girls, aligning with Kaduna State's visionary leadership goals.

She also emphasized the necessity of providing educational opportunities and resources to women, ensuring every girl has access to quality education. Zainab Muhammad from Queen Amina College disclosed that the school has 3,000 students and appealed for investments in future female leaders to contribute to national development.
