Nigerian Army Colonel Uncovered in Alleged Coup Plot Against President Tinubu

An investigation has revealed a Nigerian Army Colonel, whose name is withheld, allegedly plotted a coup to overthrow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's government. The Colonel coordinated a clandestine network of military officers to carry out the coup plan, targeting key installations across the country, including the Presidential Villa, major barracks, and international airports.

The coup plot reportedly involved covert surveillance of critical national assets. Sixteen military officers, including Major General Samaila, have been indicted for serious misconduct, with potential charges to face a military court-martial.
