Dangote Foundation Launches Share Grant for Students, Women

The Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) has initiated a share grant program aimed at enabling up to five million tertiary students and two million vulnerable women to become shareholders in Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals during its Initial Public Offering (IPO). Zouera Youssoufou, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ADF, announced that the Foundation will match qualifying share subscriptions, allowing students who purchase a minimum of 10 shares for N5,250 to receive an additional 10 shares funded by the Foundation.
This initiative is part of the refinery's vision to promote wider ownership among traditionally underserved groups. ADF has allocated approximately N25 billion for the student component and N40 billion for the overall program.
The initiative targets students aged 18 and older enrolled in recognized institutions and aims to support vulnerable women, including widows and those living in extreme poverty. ADF is collaborating with various institutions to identify eligible participants and promote financial literacy and sustainable wealth building.
