IPOB Claims Diplomatic Breakthrough with Israeli Lawmakers

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) announced a diplomatic breakthrough after a delegation met with Israeli lawmakers, including Knesset Deputy Speaker Nissim Vaturi and Limor Son Har Melech, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee. This meeting, described as a significant milestone, reflects IPOB's ongoing international campaign for the release of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, who has been in custody since his re-arrest in 2021 and is serving a life sentence on terrorism-related charges.

IPOB spokesperson Emma Powerful issued a statement emphasizing the group's commitment to non-violent advocacy and the pursuit of self-determination for Biafra. The delegation underscored the historical ties between the Jewish and Biafran peoples, citing shared experiences of persecution and discrimination.

IPOB insists that no amount of political pressure or financial influence can suppress their legitimate quest for freedom, reaffirming their dedication to peaceful diplomatic engagement.
